Terms of Service
The terms for designing, buying and using a StoryLid lid skin.

Who we are
StoryLid is a product owned and operated by DeepConexión LLC, a limited liability company based in San Antonio, Texas, USA. In these terms, "StoryLid", "we" and "us" mean DeepConexión LLC. Your purchase is made with DeepConexión LLC, which is the name you'll see on your Stripe checkout and receipt.
Accepting these terms
By using StoryLid, creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to buy from us. If you order for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping access to your email account safe, since that is how you sign in, and for everything done through your account. Tell us right away at hello@storylid.com if you think someone else has used it.
Your content
When you upload photos, logos, book or album covers or any other material, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it, and that printing it doesn't infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or publicity rights. You keep ownership of your content; you give StoryLid permission to use it only to create, print and ship your skins and to run your QR code.
What we won't print
No illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit or violent content, and nothing that impersonates another person or brand. We check every print file and may cancel and refund any order that breaks these rules.
AI-generated artwork
Designs are created with the help of AI from your website, your answers and the photos you upload. If you upload a photo of a person, the artwork may show that person painted in an illustrated style; you confirm that you are that person or have their permission. Product photos and covers are shown unchanged. AI can make mistakes, so please check names, spelling and likeness carefully before ordering: what you approve is what we print. You may use your printed skin and your design for any lawful purpose.
Your QR code
Your printed QR code runs through a StoryLid address. With a subscription you can point it anywhere, any time; with Own it the link is fixed when you buy (subscribe anytime to unlock changes). Own it skins carry a small StoryLid mark. It keeps working even if you cancel a subscription or close your account. You may not point it to illegal, deceptive or harmful content; we may disable a link that does.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions (Monthly $9, 1 year $79, 2 years $129) renew automatically at the same term until you cancel online in your account. We email a reminder 15 to 45 days before a 1-year or 2-year renewal. Cancelling stops future charges; your QR code keeps working, your Story page stays online but frozen, and you see total scans only. If a 2-year plan is refunded, the included skin is charged at $30. Group codes take $1 a month off the Live plan price for as long as that subscription lasts; they never apply to skins or Own it.
Orders, prices and taxes
Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added at checkout where it applies. An order is accepted when payment succeeds and we send your confirmation email. We may refuse or cancel an order, with a full refund, if a design breaks these terms, a price was shown in error, or we can't fulfil it. Refunds, reprints and shipping are covered by our Refund Policy and Shipping page, which are part of these terms.
Using your skin
Apply the skin to a clean, dry lid following the included instructions. Skins are designed to peel off cleanly, but we aren't responsible for damage caused by applying or removing a skin on a device that is already damaged, repainted or not the model you selected. Please check your laptop model before ordering.
Story pages and waves
If you publish a Story page, you are responsible for what it says and for how you use the contact details visitors choose to send you. Use them only to reply to that visitor, and follow applicable law, including anti-spam law. Don't add anyone to a mailing list without their consent. We may hide a Story page or switch off a wave feature that is used to harass, mislead or spam people.
Our service and our brand
The StoryLid name, logo, website, software and design system belong to DeepConexión LLC. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product. We may improve, change or stop parts of the service; if we ever end the redirect service entirely, we will give at least 90 days' notice and let you point your code to a web address of your choice where technically possible.
Copyright complaints
If you believe a design or Story page infringes your copyright or trademark, email hello@storylid.com with the page or code, the work you own, and your contact details. We will review it promptly and may remove the content and cancel related orders.
Disclaimer
StoryLid is provided "as is". Apart from the promises we make in these terms and our Refund Policy, and to the extent the law allows, we make no other warranties, express or implied, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We don't promise any number of scans, contacts or sales.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, DeepConexión LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Indemnity
You agree to cover DeepConexión LLC for claims, losses and reasonable costs that arise from content you upload, your Story page, or your breach of these terms.
Ending your use
You can stop using StoryLid and cancel any subscription at any time. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms. Printed QR codes keep redirecting as described above unless the destination breaks these terms.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, please email us so we can try to solve it informally within 30 days. Any dispute that isn't solved will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Bexar County, Texas, and you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small-claims court instead.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top and, for material changes, email account holders at least 14 days before they take effect. Changes don't apply to orders already placed.
General
If part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term right away isn't a waiver. You may not transfer these terms without our consent; we may transfer them as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business. These terms, with the policies they refer to, are the whole agreement between us about StoryLid.
